I have had a set of your Game Ear II’s for three years now. I have been shooting and in construction for most of my 43 years. This along with my loud music and concert years has really had a negative affect on my high (treble) range of hearing. I also suffer heretically from tinnitus (constant ringing sound in my ears). Great and Durable! Their Great! After using the Game Ears the first season, I had ear molds made to replace the foam inserts and can’t be happier with the results. This makes them very comfortable and seals all outside sound off. Bottom line your product has opened up a new world of hunting I never knew existed until I got the Game Ears. In the near future I will be passing these on to my son and upgrading to some digital units. Every hunter should invest into this product they are fantastic! Their Durable! I loaned them to my son last year while Deer hunting. I didn’t want him to suffer from the effects of muzzle blast. After the hunt he stuck them in the front pocket of his insulated cover-alls. We got home later and unloaded the truck and apparently as we pulled the cover-alls out of the truck one of the units fell out of the pocket. We had no idea where it was. We looked everywhere for the lost unit and ultimately gave up and I resigned myself to buying a replacement. I lost the Game Ear in November. One morning in February while getting in the truck to go to work, for whatever reason, I glanced down and over in a natural area by the driveway and there it was! I couldn’t believe it! After four months had gone by there it lay. I picked it up and saw the ear tube was full of water. I didn’t have much hope for it to operate but was glad to get the ear mold back. I took the tube off and opened the battery door. The battery was completely corroded. I just sat it on my truck console and went on to work. I let it sit there for a couple of days to dry out. The unit had gone through several rains, snow, and thaw cycles. Well long story short, I cleaned as much of the corrosion from the battery contacts as I could, put in a new battery, and turned it on. I couldn’t believe it when it worked! Now the only way I can tell the difference between the two units is if I open the battery door where I can still see a little corrosion. I can’t believe an electronic product that sensitive can survive what this thing went through. The term that comes to mind is BULLET PROOF! Thanks for a great product that I find is as important to me as a fine rifle. I would not go into woods without them! Two thumbs…err ears up for and outstanding durable product!!! Best Regard,
Tony Graves Bob,
Just prior to the hunt, I purchased a pair of camo Power Muffs Quad for Zak to use. They worked great. He wore them the whole time and could not only hear the birds gobble, but could hear my whispered instructions. On Sunday, April 3, 2005 we set up in a small group of live oaks before 6:00 am. The birds refused to cooperate, but finally at 10:00 am sharp, a beautiful Rio came in. I was able to whisper to Zak when he was clear to shoot, and he killed his first turkey with a shotgun (20 ga) at 38 yards. I still can't believe he sat quiet for four hours, but when the opportunity did present itself, there was no messing around with muffs or ear plugs which may have revealed our location. The muffs are comfortable (a 9 year old wore them for four hours straight), he could hear the gobbles in the distance as well as my whispers, and he's one happy hunter (picture attached). Thanks again for a great product,
Jerry E. Beardmore I have the Quad Muffs and love them.
Mark Chance Mr Walker, Two years ago I had my hearing tested in a mobile NIOSH testing trailer. The first thing that the technician ask me was,” What activity have you been participating in that has isolated sound to your left ear?" I told her that I have been shooting a shotgun since I could hold one. She informed me that I had mild to moderate hearing loss in my left ear and that I should protect what I have left. I am only 34. I then saw your 30 minute infomercial. My wife bought me the Game Ear for my birthday in 2002. Unfortunately, I lost it. It made me sick. I just purchased another one on 01/13/05. The Game Ear works. It is not a gimmick. I bought it for bow and bird hunting, but also wear it when I shoot trap, sporting clays, and skeet. NOT ONCE have my ears rang after a day of shooting since I started wearing the Game Ear. Young or old, hearing loss or not, I would recommend this product to anyone who bow hunts, bird hunts, or enjoys the shooting sports. Thank you for a great product!
